阮,中国传统弹拨乐器,有广阔的音域和丰富的表现力。是中国最古老的乐器之一,至今已有两千多年的历史。

阮古称为“秦琵琶”,因西晋“竹林七贤”的阮咸善演奏此乐器,后以“阮咸”命名,简称为“阮”。起源于秦汉时期的阮,唐宋时达到鼎盛时期。

唐代诗人白居易曾在诗中写到:“掩抑复凄清,非琴不是筝。还弹乐府曲,别占阮家名。古调何人识,初闻满座惊” 形象地描绘阮的音色纯厚圆润,如珠落玉盘那样悦耳动听,由此阮在唐代的影响力可见一斑。

长期以来,阮始终保持着古老的风格与形式。直到近代中国,阮发展迅速,发展出、小阮、中阮、大阮等,是名副其实的阮族。

近年来,致力于阮艺术发展的艺术家们创作出了许多优秀的曲目:传统作品有《满江红》、《悠远的歌声》等,现代作品则以刘星创作的作品《云南回忆》为开篇,为阮乐器的演奏开创了一个新时代。

序:酒狂(即兴)  Prelude: Liquormania (Improvisation)

《酒狂》相传为三国时期“竹林七贤”之一的阮籍所作,乐曲以酒徒大醉之后的狂态为主题,表现出狂放不羁的特点。《酒狂》看似写酒徒酣醉癫狂之态,实际上是一首表达孤独萧索之情的咏怀乐曲,表达出“众人皆醉我独醒”的无奈。

It is said that Liquormania was created by Ruan Ji, one of the seven sages of the bamboo groves during the Three Kingdom Period. With the theme of the appearance of a badly-drunk drinker, this song shows an unrestrained characteristic.

即兴曲  Impromptu

本曲在飘逸的旋律中融入美国乡村民谣与爵士乐元素,吸取两者慵懒、随性之灵气,但作者并没有为本曲配以文字说明,让听众在属于自己的阐释空间里尽情感受音乐艺术之神韵、东西方音乐融合之美。

This song incorporates American country balladry and Jazz into its elegant rhythm, absorbing the laziness and casualness of the two. But the author did not add text explanations to this song in order to let the audience enjoy the charm of the art of music and the beauty of mixing music from both the East and the West in their own interpretations.

丝路驼铃  Camel Bells on the Silk Road

《丝路驼铃》描绘了丝路驼商行进的情景,古朴清淡,具有较强的感染力。该曲用新疆地区的民歌素材创作而成,表现了在古丝绸之路上行走的一旅骆驼队,驼铃声,由远而近;小憩时,他们跳起了欢快的舞蹈,以解长途跋涉的沉闷与疲乏;振奋精神后又踏上了征途,渐渐远去。

Camel Bells on the Silk Road describes the scenes of Silk Road merchants marching forward on camels. It is simple, light and highly impelling. This song is made of folk songs of Xinjiang. It talks about a brigade of camel merchants marching forward on the ancient Silk Road with the camel bells coming from afar gradually. When resting, they do dances of joy so as to relieve the tedium and tiredness of the long journey; when getting refreshed, they get up on their feet and go on the journey into the distance.

孤芳自赏  Talking to Myself

或者是幽谷的一株君子兰,或者是躲于喧哗月塘中的一张荷,或者是暗夜里悄悄吐芬芳的一朵昙,或者,什么都不是。山在山那里高着,海在海那里蓝着,天在天那里空着。我,在我心底静静的坚持着。

It could be a clivia in the dingle, or a lotus hiding in the noisy moon pool, or an epiphyllum bursting into bloom in the dark night, or, maybe nothing. The mountains are high, the seas are blue, and the sky is empty. But for me, I am insisting inside in silence.

云南回忆  Reminiscences of Yunnan

作者注:每当她讲述童年的情趣,都会令我产生无限的幻想和无尽的思念。那迷人的风情,令人超脱的音乐滋润了我的灵感,也为我沉郁的情感带来清新感受,令人遗憾的是我从未来过云南,但愿这不是终身的遗憾。

Composer's Note: Whenever she talks about how fun her childhood was, I will always have infinite fantasy and endless missing. The charm and the music that gives me a feeling of detachment have not only nourished my inspiration, but have also brought a fresh feeling for my melancholy. It is a pity that I have never been to Yunnan, but I hope it is not lifelong.

Bonus-花下醉  Drunk under the Flowers

《花下醉》取材自唐代诗人李商隐同名诗作。以阮独特的音色描绘了诗人春夜醉眼挑灯赏花的景色和心境,曲调参考古曲的结构,既紧凑又符合现代人的旋律审美,是一首不可多得的阮族乐曲作品。

Drunk under the Flowers is based on a poem of the same name written by Li Shangyin, a poet in Tang Dynasty. It describes the scenery and the mood of the poet who burned mid-night oil to enjoy flowers with drunk eyes on a spring night with Ruan’s unique timbre. Its melody refers to the structure of ancient music, which is both compact and conforms to modern people’s melody aesthetics. It is a rare Ruan music works.
